The Kamloops Amateur Radio Club will be joining the Coquitlam Amateur Radio Club on June 10-12 for the 2023 ARRL VHF Contest, to be held at Pavilion Mountain.  The road to the VHF Contest site can be accessed off of Highway 99 going to Lillooet.  It is 16.5 km from the turnoff on Highway 99 at the Pavilion community church (take the Clinton-Pavilion Rd) to the turnoff to the road going up to the plateau and the VHF Contest site.  At 16.5 km, the right turn off the Clinton-Pavilion Rd has been marked with orange flagging tape.

The old wagon road off the Kelly Lake Road, west of Clinton, is closed due to washouts.

Information on Pavilion Mountain can be found here:  https://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=83457

Updated: May 22 -- the road to the plateau is open (off the Clinton-Pavilion Road) although there is still snow in places at the top of the plateau.  The road has some rough spots and a small water crossing (this may change as the snow melt concludes), but it should be passable with a 2WD truck or higher clearance SUV.

Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the event.
